The incident occurred while he was returning home from Bholagadia market. When the victim resisted, the criminals brutally thrashed him with plastic pipes, leaving him critically injured before fleeing with gold and silver ornaments worth lakhs of rupees. The injured businessman has been admitted to a local hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, Khunta police have reached the crime spot and initiated an investigation to nab the culprits.
