The official, Umashankar Biswal, had allegedly demanded ₹10,000 to process a land partition suit and was apprehended while receiving ₹6,000 from a complainant. A team led by the Keonjhar Vigilance DSP and Balasore Vigilance Inspector conducted the raid and seized the bribe amount. Currently, the authorities are investigating relevant documents and records at the Tehsil office.
