While police suspect the crime stems from extra-marital affair disputes, the deceased woman's family has alleged it to be a case of dowry torture and murder. Police have recovered the body and detained three persons, including the victim's husband Khitish Patra, along with her mother-in-law and father-in-law for further interrogation.
