The deceased has been identified as Reena Pani from the Madhupatna area of Cuttack, who had been missing since last Sunday. Local residents spotted the floating body and immediately alerted the fire services and local police, who rushed to the spot to retrieve it. Police have seized the body and sent it for a post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death.
