A three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice Surya Kant, comprising Justice Jaimala Bagchi and Justice V. Mohana, will hear the matter. The appointment process is on hold as the Supreme Court has temporarily stayed the selection process for the new DGP. After the retirement of former DGP Y. B.
